In My Hands At this time, at this hour,
Amongst the reddish fires of the sky,
Within my hands lies the power,
A duty to myself I cannot deny.

A cooling breeze stirs my hair,
From beneath my eyes a single tear appears.
I no longer feel, I no longer care,
I firm my resolve and assuage all my fears.

I take my stand; I can wait no more.
As I reach up to tighten my fate,
I hear panicked voices from beyond the door.
But, alas, it is already too late.

With my arms wide open, a glorious smile upon my face,

Wow! I hadn't realized I hadn't been on in such a long time. There's so much to catch up on.

But I've finally submitted something new - a new short story that seems to have taken me forever to finish. It's easy to write it all down, but the editing process is what takes me so long.

I can't wait for Thanksgiving! 1) it means it's a break from school, and 2) it's always such a fun weekend!
